I just want to take a minute and say how very thankful I am for the example Betz sets for me each day. He consistently encourages me to have family prayer and to pray together as a couple. This afternoon, as he was walking out the door to head back on these snowy roads for a midnight call in Vernal, he paused at the bottom of the stairs and said, "I would like to have prayer with you before I go."
I realize he has his flaws. We all do. However, I know having Abete in my life will lift me where I struggle as I lift him where he struggles.
In addition, I know that for my sister Maria, it is a challenge to have Jeff away working in Vernal. But one great blessing has come to me because he is down there. The company Betz works for only houses the employees in hotels for three months. After that they are on their own. In an attempt to save money, Betz has been living out of his truck or sleeping in friends hotel rooms because housing is so expensive. Jeff called Betz this evening and offered his room to him anytime at all. For me to know Betz will always have some place to go is such a relief. I know Betz won't stay every night because that is the way he is. But, my heart is at rest knowing Jeff is there for him.
I am aware our Heavenly Father has a plan for each of us and I am reminded our prayers are often answered by other people.

I'm so glad you have him. If Betz needs a place to stay, our house is always open!
