Next to Christmas, the Fourth of July is my next favorite holiday. Christmas is first choice for obvious reasons, birth of the savior. And the Fourth of July because it was only through the birth of this great nation could the gospel of Jesus Christ be restored. Not to mention the day to celebrate family with parades, barbecues, picnics, love of family and friends and beautiful sparkly things in the sky and an opportunity to pull my loved ones close under the light of the moon, pull a blanket around us to look up at the sky to see the “rockets red glare”.
Anxious for the parade to start.

Parade Day in Idaho……rain and cold kicked up.
Some ran for cover, but us die hards came prepared.

Gotta love early July in Idaho. Summer doesn’t really start until after mid-July.
We braved the rain, wind and hail to enjoy the shortest parade ever
but always good to support Pocatello.
